Mr. Lahr, I’m just re-reading your fascinating biography of your father, that I bought back in the ’90s. In the emotional, factual and contextual depth of the book … besides your love of your subject, I also see that you share his incredible drive and work ethic. Regards, |

Dear Mr. Lahr, I just wanted to let you know that I am a 39 year old fan of in my opinion the greatest musical ever filmed, The Wizard of Oz, and it is a pleasure to get to write to the son of one of the greatest actors ever to be in film… This production is magical in my eyes, and I wanted to at least write to you and say what an honor it is to get to write to you.. God bless, Daniel Brooks Mattawan, Michigan. |

Hi John~ I’d like to have you email me regarding your mother’s ancestry. I’m an amateur genealogist. We share common ancestors, and I’m interested in seeing if you’re interested in learning more about the family. I’m not a stalker! 😉 I’ve just been reading everything I can get my hands on that you’ve written about your parents, specifically your mother, and from what I’ve read (and maybe I’m incorrect in my assumptions), you don’t have a whole lot of information on your mother’s family and where/who she descends from. Hope to hear from you! |
